Blog Challenge – Day 15

Yep, day 15. You might have noticed that I missed a couple days there. Yeah…a fail on my part. We’ve had a slightly hectic week here at the Walker house. Big T has been doing Army stuff which means he’s been away from the house. Thursday, the day of my downfall, was my tipping point. the brain was taxed out as far as it could go at the moment and  wallah, no blog.

Day 14 I worked then volunteered at the concession stand at the high school football game. The stand is the band booster’s big money maker. How they earn money for all things band. It was also the day Big T came back home so we hung out watching Ray Donovan until it was time to head to the school. It was definitely nice having him home.

That brings up to day. Oh day 15, you were a busy day. We took a trip down to VCU for the GirlChild. At this point she has her heart set on it. It has the feel she was hoping for. Along with the degree she’s looking at getting.

That bring us all up to date. Now I’m off to schedule a post for tomorrow…hopefully.

Tired of running from the past, Connor Burrows is working his way home to Los Lobos. He knows he needs to face his family and finally come to terms with the horrors of their shared past. When he stops in the small town of Franklin, the last thing he expects to find is a lone wolf who smells like perfection and takes no prisoners.

Trapped by the beast inside

Bailey Clarke is a freak of nature, her father has told her so since she was a little girl. Hiding the beast inside grows harder every day. When a handsome, charming, infuriating stranger rides into town, he threatens to destroy the carefully constructed walls she uses to protect herself, and everyone else around her.

A man on a mission

Connor is determined to claim Bailey as his mate. His dominant nature loves the challenge this sparky little wolf presents both in and out of bed. He won’t let anything stand between them – not her father, and certainly not Bailey’s own fears and doubts.

Tamed by the wolf within

Bailey sees what her life could be, if she can only learn to trust for the first time in her life. Before she can accept Connor as her mate, she will have to repair the broken bond between herself and her wolf. Will her secrets destroy their chance at happiness?

A race against time

Newly mated, Connor and Bailey find themselves in a fight for their lives. Family ties will prove their deadliest threat and their greatest salvation.

Excerpt

“What’s your story, little wolf? You smell so delicious, I’m half out of my mind for you, and yet there’s no trace of pack on you. No scent of any male on your skin either, which is good because I’d hate to have to kill someone for touching what is mine.” Such dark, violent words should have disgusted her, but they didn’t. They spoke to the animal instincts she’d battled against her whole life.

Wolf.

He used the word so casually, as though shifting from human to beast was perfectly natural. Nothing to be ashamed of, not the dirty secret she’d been raised to see it as. “What are you?” She gasped, but, in her heart, she already knew.

He gripped her chin in a fierce hold, twisting her neck to the edge of pain so he could stare her in the eye. “I am a wolf, the same as you. A member of the Tao pack. We reside deep in the Black Hills.” His eyes narrowed, the cool gray darkening to charcoal. “You must recognize one of your own. My wolf knows yours, lover. Knows you are our mate.”

She wrenched her chin from his bruising hold, bracing her hands against the edge of her desk. She shoved hard until the huge antique piece scraped against the burnished wooden floor. The gap she created offered an escape route, and she leapt away from the decadent heat of his body. The scent, the feel of him scrambled her brains. She held out her hand to ward him off when he started to approach. “Stay back, just stay back and let me think, goddammit!” His eyes fixed on her heaving chest as she panted, and she snapped her fingers angrily. “Hey! My face is up here!”

A slow, lazy, grin curled his plump lips, drawing her attention to their softness. They were the only soft-looking thing about him. His big body looked carved of pure muscle, his thick arms and legs straining the seams of his clothing. He had a presence about him, too, a surety and confidence in the way he held himself. She found his arrogance equal parts annoying and delicious.

Blog Challenge – Day 9 – Football & Cupcakes

In the Tiger Nip world, specifically the first book, I created a bakery for my lovely heroine. Corrine owns Sweet Confections with her best friend, MJ (who happens to be Corrine’s brother’s mate). Now that the ladies are settled down with their men and a new shop was bought, (you’ll have to read the first book to find out what happened to the first one), I like to think they indulge their mates’ love of football with specialty football creations during football season.

In honor of it being Sunday AND it being football season I thought I would share some creations I found on Pinterest and that I think Corrine and MJ would have in their shop.

Blog Challenge – Day 8 – One Week Down!!!

Yay!!! I blogged for a week!!! Can you believe it? Yeah….me either. Topics, for me, are hard to come by. I still have no idea what to write about each day but I’ll keep on trucking. I’ll have a could guest posts. Some of my author friends were lovely enough to send me cool stuff to put on the blog. Speaking go which, I need to get those things scheduled.

Today was a lovely Saturday spent with the hubby doing errands. Ya know, dropping the truck off for an oil change and then hanging out in the mall drinking coffee and trying clothes on. Our day ended with a trip to the tiniest restaurant I’ve been in with the most fabulous Pad Thai. And the Pineapple Fried Rice, oh so tasty.

Tomorrow is a writing day for me. Some things came up and I’ll be taking a trip to Texas in a couple weeks so the book NEEDS to be done. Good thing it I was able to connect the newest sections I felt were needed with what I had already written.

Okay, I need to get this posted and work on scheduling those other posts.Have a great night! ~ Brandy

Blog Challenge – Day 5

Its Wednesday! Have you been surviving the week? Have you found any spare time to sit and read? Get lost in a book?

I haven’t but that’s okay. My co-worker at the day job is back and I’m back to my M-W-F schedule. I’ve gotten caught up on a couple things that were desperate for attention. Mailing packages. Getting the car fixed. Grocery shopping because I’ve been told there is a storm coming to the East Coast. People expect food apparently.

Tomorrow is a writing day for me. Almost all day, as I just learned I need to take the truck in for an oil change. Another of those life errands I’m sure you all are aware of.

Okay, its a short blog from me but yay! day 5.

Hope you’re having a decent week. ~ Brandy
